US News: Lead With Love CEO Victim of Fatal Intruder Shooting: LAPD Announces Suspect Arrest

LOS ANGELES – USA- In a significant development, the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide Detectives have announced the apprehension of a homicide suspect in connection with the tragic death of a 33-year-old man.

The incident unfolded on November 27, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m. when Wilshire Area patrol officers responded to a “Shooting Just Occurred” radio call in the 900 block of Alandele Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the resident of the home had been shot by an intruder. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics swiftly transported the victim to a local hospital, where regrettably, he succumbed to his injuries.

CBS News reported that the victim was Michael Latt, the CEO of Lead With Love, an organization focused on social justice work through the arts.

The police said, the alleged suspect, identified as Jameelah Elena Michl, a 36-year-old resident of Los Angeles, remained at the location and was taken into custody. Michl has been booked for 187(A) PC – Murder and is currently held on $3,000,000 bail, with booking number 6717633. Additionally, Michl’s vehicle, which served as her primary residence, has been booked into evidence.
